Pay Scale: Grade 104: Min$12.30 - Mid$14.86 - Max$17.41
Supports the professional clinical staff by providing direct patient care and performing duties as assigned by the RN. Under general supervision, performs general clerical duties and environmental services as assigned. Ensures all actions taken in carrying out responsibilities support patient centered care.
Required Qualifications (Including any licensure, certification, education):
Completion of 75-Hour Basic Certified Nursing Assistant Program or graduate of an accredited RN program.
High School diploma or GED
Minimum of 18 years of age
Basic Life Support (BLS) training, or within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment
Identified as "Eligible for Employment/Active" on the Iowa Direct Care Worker (DCW) Registry.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Ability to assist nursing personnel with patients; ability to understand and communicate oral and written English; explain procedures and give information; skill in the use of specialized equipment and /or techniques; ability to detect abnormal conditions and report appropriately; able to function promptly and appropriately under stressful conditions. Skill in effective oral and written communication in English.
Ability to deal with the public and staff to handle confidential work with tact and discretion.
