The Clinical Director reports to the Behavioral Health Administrator, and is responsible for operational management and clinical supervision of the Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapy, New Connections, FOCUS, Drake Counseling and coordination of all outpatient behavioral health delivery of care. The Director provides leadership to the interdisciplinary team in coordinating behavioral and physical health care with the goal of driving better health outcomes in a client-focused way while fiscally managing the on-going development and maintenance of the programs and is responsible for administrative oversight and providing quality care to patients.
Masters degree in Social Work and/or Doctorate degree in Psychology from an accredited educational program. Current Iowa license as an LISW or Doctorate level Psychologist. 3+ years direct mental health independent therapist experience with children, adolescents and adults. 3+ years operational and personnel management of community based services programs. 5+ years behavioral health outpatient administrative experience. Extensive knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders. Ability to effectively and professionally manage difficult patient issues. Budgetary planning and monitoring experience. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office software. Experience making public group presentations and fostering community relationships. Experience in program development. Strong written and verbal communication skills
